With good water management and pressure control the steel could take on a darker mirror polish. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA fairly easy stone to use, I started the stone with a surface texture from a 600 grit atoma and a bit of water but I found any fine surface texture from nagura or similar to be fine in bringing up slurry. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe ease of use with this stone is very high with great feedback making it easy to achieve a very nice finish. I particularly liked it on wrought iron and similar steels. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEqually for edge sharpening using the same set up technique edge sharpening was smooth and controlled with good contact.
