The finish it produces on clad steel is fine yet clean with good separation in cladding and steel as well, fine detail can be brought out in standard carbon cladding, Damascus and wrought iron or rentetsu. The polish from this stone on core steel or Honyaki was a light milky mirror finish on the brighter side when worked well

Best used with little water for both polishing and edge sharpening. I tend to start most of my stones with a surface texture from a worn 600 grit atoma but I found this stone was also good with a Shiro nagura or similar grain stone.

This stone has great potential and I felt many secrets to unlock.
