Using the stone with little water. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhen used with a good amount of water it feels and cuts like a mid range stone, cutting fast leaving a fine scratch pattern similar to some Aoto I’ve used in the 2k-3k range, but the scratches are easily removed by a good pre finisher or a finishing stone with strong polishing power. \u003cbr\u003eI tested this stone on Sakai white 1 and blue 2 Sanmai as well as Kiyoshi Kato white steel Sanmai. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOn the Kiyoshi Kato I followed this stone with a finer Ohira Tomae finishing stone for polishing but used this Ohira Oita in the edge.
