Easily produces a fine almost black slurry. The over all feel of the stone is very smooth with excellent ease of use.
The stone has some rust lines that for fine polishing I would recommend digging out, but the overall quality and polishing strength of the stone is very impressive and was not a stone I could pass up.
Tested on Tamahagane, Genkai white 1 Honyaki, standard soft sanmai white 1 from Sakai and nantetsu. The stone performed well across all steel but with most uchigumori suited Tamahagane Honyaki and modern carbon steel Honyaki best.
Giving the hamon and soft iron strong white color with lots of detail revealed underneath. For hardened steel depending on the forging style, hardness and steel type, the steel could become whitish or take in a dark milky fine polish.

Overall a testing this stone was a real pleasure and I found I could spend many months understanding this stone. Another one I would add to the polishing progression.
