その技は受け継がれ、現代でも日本の各地で制作されています。Komon Galleryでは、そんな現存の日本刀鍛治師の作品を展示・販売しています。

人間国宝の河内國平氏の作品をはじめ、若手日本刀鍛治師の御刀も扱っております。

Japanese swords have a history spanning over a thousand years. Their techniques have been passed down and are still practiced across Japan today.

Komon exhibit and sell works by contemporary swordsmiths. This includes pieces by master swordsmith Kunihira Kawachi, a Living National Treasure, as well as swords crafted by younger Japanese swordsmiths. You can view them in Komon Gallery and have them shipped internationally.

京都をはじめとする天然砥石や、包丁や工具の研ぎに使われる人造砥石など。特に、天然砥石は選別が難しいとされていますが、職人でも選定が難しいものを厳選してご用意しています。

ご購入前には、実際に刃物を使い、砥石の研ぎ心地を試しいただけます。

We carefully select sharpening stones, including natural stones from Kyoto and synthetic stones used for knives and tools, even those considered difficult to choose by professionals.

Natural stones, in particular, are challenging to select, but you can handle them and try sharpening a blade before making a purchase. (Currently we do NOT offer any classes or sharpening service)
