The new NSK KOGYO Nagura is a pure piece of diamond stone that helps produce the mud (todoro) needed for sharpening.
You can easily make a mud with this Nagura and removes the steel and continually refreshes the sharpening stone's surface. In our tests with the Nagura we have found it to enhance the the sharpening experience.

All work is done by a single craftsman with the skills and knowledge he gained at the Japanese sharpening stone manufacturer where he worked for many years, requiring a lot of time to produce the products.
