HYOKETSU 氷結
ACCESSORIES INSPIRED BY JAPANESE SWORD
HYOKETSU — Frostbound
HYOKETSU (氷結) is the third release in our Dog Tag series.
In Japanese, hyoketsu describes the moment water freezes — a stillness that signals the arrival of winter’s sharp, quiet cold.
This series was crafted in late autumn, just as the workshop air began to bite. Each morning, a thin layer of ice formed on the blacksmith’s water bucket — a small but unmistakable sign that winter was drawing near.
The Hamon in this series was quenched to reflect the way ice forms from the outside in, capturing that frozen tension in the steel itself. Through these dog tags, you can feel the chilled morning air and the faint white breath that marks the beginning of Japan’s winter.
Inspired by that frozen morning light, the series was named HYOKETSU.
