For over a thousand years, the Japanese sword has been preserved through an unbroken tradition.

Originally created as weapons, Japanese swords have evolved into expressions of craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and refined aesthetics.

Each blade reflects the time and region in which it was made, seen in its shape, length, and the fine details within the steel. Today, swordsmiths can study works across regions and periods, allowing them to preserve and reproduce the qualities achieved in earlier blades.

Even now, this lineage continues, carried by only a few hundred active swordsmiths. At Komon, we offer modern Japanese swords forged by today’s craftsmen, carrying this tradition into the present.
