INTERPRETATION OF THE STONE

A fast cutting Mizukihara Uchigumori excellent for polishing all types of Honyaki both modern steel as well as traditional steel like to Tamahagane, brings out unique details in soft iron as well as details in Honyaki, overall a clean stone with evenly spaced Renge. Smooth polishing feeling giving soft iron and soft steel a very white hazy finish. An easy stone to use with great feedback.

This stone was tested on Tamahagane Honyaki Hitachi steel Honyaki , as well as clad steel knives from Tanaka with very good results on carbon Damascus. It can produce great contrast with very white soft iron and fairly bright steel. On Honyaki like Tamahagane gives the harder steel a beautiful milky white finish. Was able to remove scratches from synthetic 3-4k stones.
